The Amazon

This sequence uses the Amazon to explore factors affecting ecosystems.

It is made up of two sections:

  • Ecology of the Amazon rainforest
  • Human impact on the Amazon

Target audience

Year level: Yr 10-11

Video: Ecology of the Amazon rainforest

This video clip provides students with an overview of one of the world’s major biomes, the Amazon rainforest. It presents a visual journey of aspects of the rainforest with information on abiotic and biotic factors and components of the forest.
